Roland “Pops” Joseph Fonseca, 75, a native of Des Allemands, La., and resident of Marrero, La., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011.
Mr. Fonseca was a retired boat captain and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lege Fonseca; children, Rolinda (Leslie) Theriot, Reggie (Lana), Bobby (Sherry), Neil, and Shane (Sharon); stepchildren, Yolanda Marse and Jamie (Chad) Ledet; sister, Florence (Francis) Arcement; brother, Jimmy (Mag) Fonseca; sister-in-law, Shirley Fonseca; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillis and Esperance Matherne Fonseca; and one brother, Manuel Fonseca.
He is buried at Restlawn Park Cemetery. (Mothe)
