
Thibodaux’s Lady Tigers hungry for district title

Rosalie Lucille Trahan, 77, a native and resident of Grand Isle, La., died Monday, February 4, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Bailey and husband Phil of Mena, Ark.; granddaughters, Katrina Darden of Charenton, La., Cassandra Chapman of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Tiffany Finkelsen; brothers, Hirvin Barthelemy of Houma, La., Roley Barthelemy of Marrero, La.; sister, Victoria Smith of Franklin, La.; and great grandchildren, Erica Jade Perez, Olivia Rose and Tristan Mark Johathon Chapman, and Summer Rayne Finkelsen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Trahan; parents, Henry Martin and Josephine Dinet Barthelemy; daughter, Carolyn Longbons; brothers, Vincent and Charles Barthelemy; and sisters, Lillian Blazio, Evila Crosby, Henrietta Lafont and Mercedes Scioneaux.
Rosalie was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church Auxillary. She was also a member of the American Red Cross and the Grand Isle Fire Department. She was a custodian at Grand Isle High School.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude’s Hospital.
Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Our Lady of the Isle Church in Grand Isle, followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. She will be buried at Grand Isle Cemetery.
