Rosemary Plaisance Rousse, 83, a resident of Galliano, La., joined the saints in Heaven at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Rousse and wife Linda, and Gary Rousse and wife Janet; one foster son, Bryan Thibodeaux and wife Stacey; one brother, Douglas Plaisance; one sister, Emma P. Collins; one granddaughter, Stacey R. Lorraine and husband Todd; one foster granddaughter, Amber Thibodeaux; and two great-granddaughters, Brayah and Bailey Lorraine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Rousse; parents, Horace Plaisance and Rosela St.Pierre Plaisance; two brothers, Antoine “T-Tit” Plaisance and Allen “A.J” Plaisance; and two sisters, Rose P. Orgeron and Lovinia P. Thibodaux.
She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Followers of Mary, and Catholic Daughters.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jules Dupont and hospice nurse Christy Billiot.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
