Rosemary Virgie Buras DeHart, 67, a native of Buras, La., and a resident of Theriot, La., died Monday April 6, at 5:50 a.m.
She is survived by her companion, Walton “Buddy” Daisy Jr.; former husband, Floyd DeHart Sr.; sons, Floyd DeHart Jr. of Theriot, Houston DeHart of Theriot, Daniel DeHart of Houma, La., and Bernard DeHart and wife Paula of Theriot; daughters, Mary Liner and husband Randy of Houma, Charlene Lirette and husband Avery of Houma, Neita Lirette and husband Dean of Houma, and Suzette DeHart and fiance Earl Lirette of Houma; sister, Anna Ruth Acereto of Picayune, Ms.; grandchildren, Lloyd DeHart, Alana DeHart, Randy Liner Jr., Brandon Liner, Maranda Liner, Scottie Liner, Nicole Blanchard, Samantha Luster, Avery Lirette Jr., Alana DeHart, Richard DeHart, Tara Verdin, Daislyn DeHart, Kalen-Sue DeHart, Matthew Quebedeaux, Jake Crifasi, Brittany Ponvelle, and Kalena-Sue DeHart; and great-grandchildren, Austin Liner, Brennen Luster, Tristan DeHart, Ava Lirette and Gabrielle Luster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neita Morro and Bernard Joseph Buras; brother, Royce Buras; and sisters, Gardenia Hess and Barbara Brown.
She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday April 7, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday April 8, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church with burial at St. Francis Cemetery #2.
