Roy Luke

Roy Luke, 76, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.

Mr. Luke was a member of the Green Head Club and a musician. He loved fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Luke; sons, Roy Jr. and Rod Luke; daughters, Melinda Scott, Debra Luke, Wanda Blanchard, Joan Guidry, Della Terrebonne and Kim Gaines; stepchildren, James Jr., Freddie and Reggie Ledet; brother, Wayne LeCompte; sisters, Martha Poiencot and Delia Thibodaux; 17 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Luke; mother, Gertrude Fonseca; birth mother, Betsy LeCompte; father, Frank Tivet; birth father, Walter Luke; stepfather, Wilbert LeCompte; stepson, Bryan Ledet; brothers, Druis Sr. and Loyd Luke; sisters, Betsy Levron, Betty Naquin and Velita Reece; and one step-grandchild.

Burial is at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La. (Samart-Mothe)
