Roy “Pop” Joseph Neal Sr., 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010.
Mr. Neal was an avid participant with the Marine Corps League and The Elks Lodge of Houma. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran and he loved to volunteer with local charitable organizations. He was self-employed in the oil field.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas, Roy Jr. “Beau” and Timothy (Angie) Neal; daughters, Cynthia (Tommy) Dupre and Monica Neal; stepdaughter, Donna (Wilbert) Naquin; stepson, Perry (Cheryl) LeBoeuf; sisters, Beverly (Gary) Roerig and Maybel (Daniel) Trahan; sister-in-law, Lolita Neal; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joyce LeBeouf Neal; parents, Sidney and Lucina LeBoeuf Neal; four brothers, Elmore, Reed, Terry and Alvin Neal; one sister, Deborah Neal; and one stepson, Ronnie LeBoeuf.
He is buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
