LUMCON scientists frustrated with dwindling dollars for research

Ruben Trosclair Jr., 62, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died after a three-year battle with COPD Sunday, February 10, 2008, at 8:05 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Breaux Trosclair of Houma; son, Todd Trosclair and wife, Martha, of Tomball, Tx.; daughters, Cindy Simon and husband, Brett, of Bourg, La. and Blair Trosclair and companion, Brennan Duthu, of Houma; brothers, Floyd Trosclair of Bourg and Effie Trosclair of Montegut, La.; sisters, Eldred Matherne of Marrero, La., Era Mae Halbert of Houma and Maudry Bourg of Montegut; and grandchildren, Bryce, Jade, Brady, Todd Jr. and Brianna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Trosclair Sr. and Cecile Ledet Trosclair; and brothers, Reynold Trosclair and Roy Trosclair.
Ruben was a retired welder and a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Annunziata Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
