Cut Off woman’s body identified

Ruby Lee “Polly” Yates Sanders Bridges, 78, a native of Attala County, Miss., and resident of Chackbay, La., died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Olivier Funeral Home at Winona, Miss. Religious service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Winona Gardens of Memory Cemetary in Mississippi.
She is survived by one son, Homer Lamar “Bo” Sanders and friend, Lisa Anderson, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one daughter Dr. J. Lavone Landry and husband, Arthur Paul Landry, of Belle Rose, La.; two step-daughters, Judy Bridges Weeks and Brenda Bridges Ellis of Cleveland, Miss.; three brothers, Nolie Yates of Winona, James Kelly Yates of Scooba, Miss., and Charles Yates of Vaiden, Miss.; four grandchildren, B.J. and Erika Rodrigue of Chackbay, Scott and Patricia Sanders of Patterson, La., Schyler and Jarred Smith of Columbia, La., and Slade and Michelle Sanders of Berwick, La.; five step-grandchildren, Tammy and Tommy Besson of French Settlement, La., Stanley Michael and Nora Weeks of Woodridge, Va., Pamela and Michael Perrett of Flora, Miss., Johnny and Deana Weeks of Cleveland, Miss., and Kim and Kevin Hatcher of Donaldsonville, La.; one adopted granddaughter, Amanda Anderson of Chattanooga; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Gilbert Bridges; her parents, Allie D. Lottie Bingham Yates and John Kelly Yates; four brothers, J.W., Denton, Clinton, and Hubert “Billy” Yates; and one sister, Gladys Yates Gregg.
She was a retired employee of Lafourche Association of Retarded Citizens.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
