Russell Joseph Brunet Jr., 63, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Vacherie, La., died Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Mr. Brunet was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as a Jefferson Parish police officer for 27 years. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Brunet; son, James (Heather) Brunet; daughter, Bridget (Kenny) Martinez; mother, Bertie Brunet; brother, Kenneth Brunet; sister, Yvette Bobb; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Brunet Sr.
A memorial will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Bayou Barriere Golf Club in Belle Chasse, La. (Landry’s)
