Downed economy, cold makes hard job tougher

Sam “T-Sam” Gisclair Sr., 76, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at 5:45 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Marie Glynn Gisclair; sons, Alan (Nora Lee), Brian (Dianna), Rogers, Sam Jr. (Ramona) and Rodney Gisclair; daughters, Elaine (Irving) Cheramie and Lillian Bonvian; brother, Loydman (Josephine) Gisclair; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Madio Sr. and Clotile Bourg Gisclair; brothers, Paul, Madio Jr. and James Gisclair; and sister, Melvina G. Collins.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to family to offset funeral expenses.
He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
