Samuel L. Ayo Jr., 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, June 1, 2012.
Mr. Ayo was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ayo; children, Karen Ellender, Samuel, Gayle and Dwayne Ayo and Terri Toups; brother, Michael Ayo; sisters, Carmen and Ethel Boudreaux and Barbara Chaisson; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lezin Sr. and Myrtle Ayo; daughter, Pamela Ayo; brothers, Carroll and Ronald Ayo; and sisters, Joan Babin and Myrtle Rieve.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
