Sarah Gabb

Sarah Papa Gabb, 76, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 3:35 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Gabb; three sons, Danny Gabb and his wife Zeny, Timmy Gabb and his wife Patti, and Chris Gabb and his wife Stacey; two daughters, Linda LeBlanc and her husband Lynn and Mary Ellen Whitford and her husband Pete; five brothers, Angelo “Jutz” Papa, Nick Papa, George Papa, Louis Papa and Mike Papa; two sisters, Rosemary Bourgeois and Lou Ann Faucheaux; seven grandchildren, Holly Ferrill, Sarah Goff, Joanna Gabb, Julie Gabb, Jacoui Gabb, Shayla Gabb and Alicia Gabb; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and William Goff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Justine Tardo Papa; three brothers, Vincent Papa Jr., Sam Papa and Charlie Papa; one sister, Anna Mae Totina; and one grandchild, Leah Gabb.

Sarah was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her for her sweetness, generosity and compassion. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux, with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Landry’s Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
