February 19, 2014Shaeffer “Pop” Anthony Curole, 78, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Larose, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
Mr. Curole was a member of the National Guard, Knights of Columbus and Larose Civic Center Hall of Fame. He was an avid fisherman and owner of Pop’s Rod Repair. He was also a member of the 1952 LCO six man state championship football team.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Curole; sons, Casey (Mona), Tracey (Kelly) and Kirk (Wendy) Curole; daughters, Stacey (Fred) Pitre and Francine (Julian) Kiffe; sisters, Dolores Lowrey, Connie Cheramie and Dinah Bradford; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Syriaque and Victoria Curole.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
