Shannon “Shamoo” J. Pravata, 44, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, June 2, 2014.
Mr. Pravata was the proprietor of Snow Shack Snowballs Thibodaux and was a long-time manager of Western Sizzlin’ Steakhouse in Thibodaux. He loved cooking, fishing and hunting and never met a stranger. He was a member and reservist for the Morgan City Police and Volunteer Fire Departments. He was a dedicated member of House of Prayer Church.
He is survived by his wife, Danielle Pravata; father, Philip Pravata; sons, Mark Cortes and Giovanni Pravata; daughters, Layla and Ariel Pravata; former wife, Jelena Cockerham; and sister, Desiree Myers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janell Pravata; and grandparents, Philip Sr. and Mary Pravata and Joseph and Maydel Bellard. (Falgout)
