Shawn Allen Richards, 36, a native of Hoosick Falls, N.Y. and resident of Houma, La., died at 5:37 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 11 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport, La. A mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland, La.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara F. Richards; his son, Austin I. Richards; his step-son, Buddy Robichaux; his daughter, Angelle I. Richards; his godchild, Katelyn Richards; his brothers, Steve Richards and wife, Tammy and Scott Richards; and five nieces and nephews, Megan, Ashley and Jared Richards, and Cody and Lyndi Lavergne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Richards; and his sister, Alice K. Richards.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for expenses.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
