MLK Day speakers challenge crowd to stop hate, violence and quit judging

Sheila Oncale, 48, a native of Lambert, Ms., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 2:32 p.m.
She is survived by her former husband, Doug Oncale; her parents, Shelby Jean Pitre and Leo Pitre; three daughters, Crystal Cole, Shelly Oncale and Nicole Oncale; three brothers, Carl Pitre, Bobby Pitre and Timothy Martin; one sister, Patricia Boudreaux; four grandchildren, Camryn Oncale, Masyn Oncale, Jacob Oncale and Riley Cole; six nieces; five nephews; as well as Karlee and Jailyn Pitre, of whom she was legal guardian.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Clara Aizen; and her grandfather, Noel Pittman.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church with a religious service to follow. She will be buried in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
