
Lafourche Parish committee formed to fix jail woes

Shirley Allemand Ledet, 72, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, April 6, at 1:10 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Beauregard A. “White” Ledet; son, Bob A. Ledet; daughters, Wanda L. George, Margaret L. Doucet and Ellen M. Ledet; brothers, Harry, Anthony “Lou” and Loyman Allemand; sister, Thelma A. Chouest; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel and Viola Kiffe Allemand; brothers, Morris, Norris and John Allemand; and sister, Velma A. Babin.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society and Adoration and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Larose with mass to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
