Shirley Mae Babin Watkins, 70, native of Houma, La., a resident of Lafayette, La., before moving to Baton Rouge, La., died at 4:10 P.M., Saturday, July 26.
She is survived by one son; Mark Anthony Hebert and wife Ramona of Baton Rouge; one daughter; Melissa Rhodes and husband Jimmy of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Dusty Russ, Corey Hebert, James Hebert and wife Cassie, Troy Bourgeois and wife Shannon, Dana Fontenot and husband Andrew and Connie Bourgeois and Stacy Hebert; 15 great- grandchildren, Alex, Heavan, Kaidyn, Jayce, Kalib, Christopher, Emily, Shelby, Brier, Gracie, Lathan, Reiden, Karl, Donovan, Braddik; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin Watkins, Aubrey Russ, Jr., and Paul Hebert, Jr.; parents, Ernest and Olivia Dupre Babin; one son, Clark Joseph Russ; and one grandson, Paul Anthony Hebert.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We wish to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Landmark of Baton Rouge for all their kindness, support, and care shown until the time of her death.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Liturgy of the Word to follow. She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.
