Sidney Joseph Duet, 77, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
Mr. Duet was a bank executive for 35 years and an original board director of the South Lafourche Leonard Miller Jr. Airport Authority. He was a Eucharistic minister, lector and member of the parish council at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off and an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deanna Duet; sons, Darren (Lynette) and Sid (Holly) Duet; daughter, Deanna (Michael Jr.) Lafont; sister, Anna Lemasters; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Viola Duet.
Burial was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Golden Meadow. (Falgout)
