Sophie Cancienne Arcement, 74, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, August 28.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Elward Arcement; two sons, Alan Arcement and wife Elaine, and Paul Arcement and wife Nadine; one daughter, Cindy LeBlanc and husband Ricky Jr.; two sisters, Emily Fertitta of Labadieville and Violet Ross of Cleburne, Tx.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Cancienne and Sophie Thibodaux Cancienne; and two sisters, Hazel Usery and Margaret Dugas.
She was buried at St. Philomena Catholic Church Cemetery in Labadieville.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
