Stella Trahan Ellender, 89, a native of Gibson, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, February 5.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Ellender of Houma; daughters, Shirley Kimball and husband Arthur of Houma, Emelie Savoie and husband Max of Belle Chase, La., Sally Newman and husband Fred of Houma, Martha Chenier and husband Roy of Houma, and Susan Falgout and husband Sonny of Houma; brother, Norman “Buddy” Giroir; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Francis Ellender; parents, Delfray Trahan and Adlene Breaux Trahan; brothers, Rufus Trahan, Jim Trahan, Leonce Trahan, Anthony Trahan and Robert Trahan; sisters, Antoinette Leonard and Bernice Marcel; and grandson, Ronnie Kimball.
She was buried at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Cemetery.
