Tameka Octavia Carter, 23, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008.
She is survived by her mother, Dianne Nora Brown and husband Ron of Thibodaux; father, Gerald Carter and wife Hesta of Thibodaux; sisters, Kira Cassie, Jenerald Carter, Nikisha Cassie, Jaleesa Carter and Melinda Carter all of Thibodaux; brothers, Jeremy J. Jamison of Thibodaux and Patrick Celestine of Covington, La.; stepsisters, Shunell Fletcher and Aysia Davis of Thibodaux; stepbrothers, Donnell Fletcher and Lawrence Fletcher of Thibodaux; grandparents, Alice Landry and Ornish Rapheal.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph Landry and Octavia Carter.
She was a member of Old Fountain Missionary Baptist Church and was a Choir member.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. She will be held buried at the Old Fountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
