Thelma Clement Dugas Ledet, 77, a native of Chackbay, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 7:09 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Julien “J.P.” Ledet; three daughters, Frances D. Badeaux and husband, Jean Paul, Geralyn Dugas and Karen D. Bilello and husband, John; four stepsons, Terry Ledet and wife, Kim, Gary Ledet and wife, Nancy, Tyrone Ledet and David Ledet and wife, Karen; five grandchildren, Andre’, Jeremy and Brent Badeaux, and Erica and Sarah Bilello; four great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry J. Dugas; her parents, Aurelien “Pete” and Rose Clement; four brothers, June, Early, Harry and Norman Clement; and five sisters, Bertha Anderson, Verna Ledet, Rena Mosmeyer, Erna Adams and Dorothy Barfield.
Thelma was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post No. 5097. She also worked many years in several area retail stores.
Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
