Thelma Marie Deroche Hebert, 89, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 10.

She is survived by her sons, Kirby Hebert and wife, Audrey, of Gentry, Ar., Eugene Hebert and wife, Fallarie, of Gray, La. and Alcide Hebert Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Houma; daughters, Evelyn Trahan, Mary Parker and husband, Fred, of Houma, Earline Adams and husband, Evance, of Gray, Carolyn Theriot and husband, Clay, of Houma and Gail Trahan and husband, Garland, of Gray; brother, Ivy Deroche of Scott, La.; sisters, Myrtle Fanguy, Audrey Chaisson of Houma, Rhea Lirette of Thibodaux, La., and Marlene Cenac of Houma; 28 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Hebert Sr.; her parents, Elie Deroche and Nora Fournier Deroche; grandchildren, Eliska Trahan, Ted Parker, Cecil Breaux and Harry Kibodeaux; son-in-law, Euclis Trahan; and sister, Melva Fanguy.

She was a homemaker, a loving wife of 68 years and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
