Thelma Jenkins Rockward, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Rockward Sr.; six sons, Henry Rockward Jr., Dexter Rockward, Kerry Rockward, Charles Rockward, David Rockward and Tommy Rockward; two daughters, Deborah Rockward and Vivian R. Carter; and one brother, Wilbert Jenkins; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jenkins and Thelma Reed Jenkins; one daughter, Carolyn Rockward; her paternal grandparents, Olivia Lyons Jenkins and Dave Jenkins; and her maternal grandparents, Willis Reed and Rose Martel.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
Burial was at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
