Corps of Engineers wins flood fight during Gustav

Timothy “T.J.” Guidry Jr., 23, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Tuesday, September 9.
He is survived by his companion, Brandi LeBlanc; parents, Timothy Guidry Sr. and step-mother Deborah Guidry, and Melanie Boudreaux and step-father Keith Boudreaux; step-son, Dre’ LeBlanc; grandparents, Molly Savoie, and Anse and Betty Guidry; great-grandmother, Hazel Bourgeois; step-brothers, Marvin Terrebonne Jr. and Cody Boudreaux; step-nephews, Taton Little and Ethan Dufrene; step-nieces, Andris Terrebonne and Anjeleigh Terrebonne; sister, Heidi White and husband Curtis White; step-sisters, Amber and Taylor Boudreaux; nephew, Luke White; niece, Briannah White; and godchild, Colbie Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Savoie; and great-grandfather, Leon Bourgeois.
He enjoyed working out, fishing, hunting and dogs. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La.
He was buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.
