Tiney Sanchez Lirette, 96, a resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011.
Tiney donated her body to the LSU School of Medicine.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Bruce) Naquin; sons, Melvin (Annabelle) and Roger (Sherry) Lirette; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene “Black” Lirette; parents, Floriska and Ban Sanchez; one daughter, Mable Bananto; one son, Lester Lirette; three brothers; three sisters, and one great-grandson.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on her 97th birthday at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Christ the Redeemer Church in Thibodaux.
