Titus “Tito” Meads, 24, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died in an automobile accident in Thibodaux, La., Saturday, Sept. 12.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Lillie Meads; four brothers, Courtaney Sawyer of Thibodaux, Jerome Meads of Labadieville, La., and John and Robert Meads Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Shelly Meads of Labadieville, Alicia Meads of Gray, La., and Chanda Meads of Houma, La.; maternal grandparents, Sam and Flora Bell Sawyer of Labadieville; paternal grandmother, Margaret Banks of Labadieville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Denver Meads; one sister, Brittany Meads; one aunt, Beverly Coleman; and his godfather, Jerome Sawyer.
He was a student at Nicholls State University and an employee at Wal-Mart in Thibodaux.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at St. Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville. A religious service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
