Corps of Engineers wins flood fight during Gustav

Una T. Delatte, 87, a native and resident of Choctaw, La., died at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, September 11.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Delatte and Ray J. Delatte; one daughter, Glorise Hebert; one sister, Rosa Delatte; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Wilson Delatte; her parents, Marcell and Pauline Tabor; one son, Euras Delatte; one daughter, Lucy Mildred Delatte; six brothers, Elfar, Ruben, Emile, Elphege, Edward and John; two sisters, Rita Hebert and Lily Delatte; and one grandchild, Sherry H. Boudreaux.
She was buried at St. James Chapel Cemetery in Choctaw.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
