Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Verna Mae Leach, 80, a native of Ashland, Penn., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
A member of Coteau Baptist Church, Mrs. Leach was the proprietor of Capri Court and Campground.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Patrick and Andrew Kane, Joyce Foret and Rebecca Leach Clement; son-in-law, Ronald Yarnell; sister, Jeanette (Mike) Bongart, Betty Lou (Walter) Sterling; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Caleb Foret, and Chloe and Xander Clement.
She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin J. Leach; parents, Lloyd and Freida Gunther Wolfgang; son, David P. Leach; daughter, Donna Leach Kane; brother, Lloyd H. Wolfgang; and sister, Genevieve J. Yarnell.
She is buried at St. Louis Mausoleum.
Falgout Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
