Vida Marie Pierce, a native of Larose, La., died Friday, May 15.
She is survived by one son, Colbert Pierce and wife, Stella; one daughter, Gloria Pierce; one daughter-in-law, Linda Pierce; seven grandchildren, Taylor and Robert Carmouche, Lane and Crystal Pierce, Jill Berthalot, and Kip and Lonnie Pierce; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pierce Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Savoie; one son, Charles “Chuck” Pierce Jr.; one grandchild, Jody Pierce; four brothers, Felix, Eumas, Edward, and Noah Savoie; and seven sisters, Margaret Duplantis, Leontine Richoux, Eleanore Adams, Nin Robin, Clairise Plaisance and twin sister, Vyna Savoie Rodrigue.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed her family and traveling for many years with her twin sister, Vyna.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
