Violet Picou Authement, 83, a resident of Chauvin, La., and a native of Houma, La., died Monday, January 14, 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Harry J. Authement, Sr.; two sons, Magnus Domangue Jr. and Hayden Scott; one daughter, Peggy D. Boudreaux; one brother, Emile Picou Jr.; one sister, Gladys Domangue; two step-sons, Tommy Authement and Harry Authement Jr.; two step-daughters, Susie Sevin and Marbaline Marie; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile Picou and Euphrasie Chiasson; step-daughter, Peggy Authement; five brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 15, 2008 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the K.C. Hall in Chauvin with the funeral to follow. She will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
