Virges Rogers Becnel, 85, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Vacherie, La., died Tuesday, August 21, 2007.
She is survived by three children, Esther and Harold Rougee, Iris and Wilton Scioneaux, and Klay and Brandi Becnel,; two stepsons, Harold Martinez and his wife Ida and Roland Martinez and his wife Mae; two brothers, Jimmy Rogers and Roy Rogers; six grandchildren, Stacy Scioneaux, Sara Long, Caleb Rougee, Tucker Scioneaux, Dustin Kliebert and Ciara Becnel; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lazin Martinez; her second husband, Harry Joseph Becnel; one brother, Louis Rogers; and two sisters, Verlie Guidry and Velma Foster.
Virges was a homemaker.
She is buried in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery in Vacherie.
Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
