Bayou Cane uses grant money for fire safety
October 7, 2010Virginia Landry Daigle, 78, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010.
Mrs. Daigle was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and a member of the Terrebonne Audubon Society, the Pond Society and the Orchid Society. She was a volunteer at Maison Deville Nursing Home for 33 years.
She is survived by her husband, Edward “Bobby” Daigle Jr.; eight children, Stephen (Faye) Daigle, Kathy (Ronney) Picou, Sue (Russell) Vestal, John (Cherie) Daigle, Judy (Mark) Fucich, Theresa LaRose, Alice (John) Watson and David (Cyndi) Daigle; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, George “Mooney” Landry Jr.; and sister, Ann Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Malcolm and Judith Waguespack Landry; and two sisters, Jackie Guidroz and Lynn Hillburn.
She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
