Walton Joseph Landry, 82, a native of Brule St. Martin, La., and a resident of Paincourtville, La., died at 6 a.m. Thursday, August 28.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Anita Borne Landry; three stepsons, Leslie Prejean Jr., Max Prejean and Norbert Prejean; six stepdaughters, Mary Lee Sanchez, Gracie Lee Coupel, Vergie Lee Morales, Anita Lee Berthelot, Laura Lee Albardo and Darlene Giroir; two brothers, Nelson and Arnold Landry; three sisters, Harriet Callegan, Jynell Stevens and Mattie Blanchard; 32 step-grandchildren; 52 step-great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Junius and Anase Landry; one brother, Raleigh Landry; three sisters, Shirley Cabellero, Alma Rodrigue and Beatrice Martin; and one step-granddaughter, Karen Morales.
He was buried at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Cemetery in Paincourtville.
Landry’s Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
