Warren “Coot” Grant Washington, 63, a native of Terrebonne and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, June 4.
He is survived by his son, Malcom Washington and wife, Wallena, of Houma; daughters, Michelle Washington and Tasha Jones, both of Houma; brothers, Welton Washington Jr. and Alton Washington, both of Houma, and Chester Washington and wife, Paula, of Lafayette, La.; sisters, Wilma Smith and husband, John, of Monroe, La., Wavie Washington, Ada Parker and husband, Mike, and Ashanti Washington, all of Houma; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Welton Washington Sr. and Mable McPerson Washington; and his grandparents, Ada and Jeff Washington Sr. and George and Olivia McPherson.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Gertrude Geddes Willis Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
