Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads
October 24, 2011Wilbert Anthony Paul Sr., 74, a native and resident of Verdunville, La., died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011.
Mr. Wilbert was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a butcher in his early years and retired from the St. Mary Parish School Board after working as a school bus driver for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Paul; sons, Wilbert Jr. (Andrea) and Randy Sr. (Melanie) Paul; daughters, Jacqueline (Frank) Griffin, Marilyn Gunner, Markita (Ryan) Westley and Lorena (Anthony Jr.) Benjamin; brother, Floyd Paul Sr.; sister, Mary Bourgeois; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike Sr. and Lilly Paul; brothers, Elwood, Harold Sr., Mike Jr., Larry, Willard and Eolours Paul; and sisters, Mildred Verdun, Sadie Paul and Juanita Burgess.
Burial was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery in Verdunville. (Ibert’s)
