February 27, 2012William Anthony Tillman Sr., 69, a native of Pass Christian, Miss., and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 7:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012.
Mr. Tillman was a self-employed commercial fisherman who enjoyed building furniture and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Tillman; son, James Tillman; daughters, Sue Henry, Madonna (Thomas) Newsome and Vivian (Leslie) Rodrigue; brothers, James (Marylee), Larry (Cheryl), Michael (Beverly), Timothy (Yvonne) and Nathan Tillman; sisters, Carolyn Smith and Rebecca Rodriguez; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vivian Tillman; son, William Tillman Jr.; brothers, Floyd, Gerald and Steven Tillman; and sister, Tammy Thompson.
Burial was at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
