William R. “Will” Hebert Sr., 70, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, Sept. 24.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Chaisson and husband Duane, and Lydia Gaspard and husband James “Jimmy”; one brother, Harry Hebert Sr.; two sisters, Ruth Ledet and Betty Landry; five grandchildren, Ross Chaisson and wife RaeAnn, Jamie G. Pitre and husband Ed, Jennifer Gaspard, Sarah Chaisson and Robbie Hebert; and one great-grandchild, Braxton Pitre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Gisclair Hebert; parents, Lawrence and Mae Hebert; one son, William R. “Willie” Hebert Jr.; one daughter, Vickie Hebert; and one brother, Percy Hebert.
He was Catholic and a parishioner or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. He was retired and a member of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed cooking, repairing anything broken and playing with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
