October 13, 2010William Short, 86, a native of Gibson, La., and resident of Amelia, La., died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010.
He was a member of Church of Christ at Railroad Avenue in Morgan City.
He is survived by his son, Henry Short; two grandsons; brother, Norris Short Sr.; sisters, Betty Mitchell and Ruth Singleton; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Calloway Short and Warmouth Short Sr.; five brothers, Cleveland, Herbert, Robert, Berwick and Warmouth “Sun” Short Jr.; and two sisters, Virginia “Jenny” Singleton and Deloris Short.
He is buried at Church of Christ Cemetery.
