Willie Mae Foote, 84, a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, June 30, 2011.
Mrs. Foote was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She was a member of J. J. Clement #150 Eastern Star & Foster Grandparents Program. She was a retired employee of Terrebonne Parish School Board System.
She is survived by her son, Robert Davis; daughters, Sylvia (Nolan Sr.) Vicks, Cynthia (Bernell) Vincent, Lois (Bernard Sr.) Carter and Sandra (James) Shanklin; brother, Melvin (Priscilla) Spanish Jr.; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnathan Foote; parents, John Jackson and Eva Spanish; daughters, Joyce Harrell and Susie Crawford; and sisters, Dorothy Jackson and Irma Short.
Burial was at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson, La. (Community)
