Willie R.J. Orgeron, 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, March 28.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Boudreaux Orgeron; sons, Ray Orgeron and wife, Malese, Ricky Orgeron and wife, Sheila, Randy Orgeron, and Robert Orgeron and wife, Sandy; brother, Jean Lawrence Orgeron; sister, Jacqueline Gilfour; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon J. Orgeron and Solange Pitre Orgeron.
He was an ordained Catholic Deacon and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, Pi Kappa Alpha and Lafourche Retired Teachers Association.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 3, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
