Wilmer Paul “Lil Bab” Babin, 86, a native and residents of Houma, La. died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 6:36am.
He is survived by his daughters, Lori Young and her husband John, and Linda B. Guidry; two sisters, Meryl Chauvin and Vera Guaraggi; five grandchildren, Connie and Booby Guidry, Jr., Wendy Adams, and Ryan and John Young, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Kellie Blanchard, Elaina Adams, and Tyler and Addison Guidry; one great grandchild Try Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Savoie Babin; his parents, Van Babin and Clavia Chiasson Babin; Son-in-law, Robert Guidry, Sr.; three brothers, Murphy, Earl, and Lloyd Babin; three sisters, Helen Domangue, Jeanette Daughty, and Genevieve Webre.
Wilmer was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church in Houma. He was U.S. Army Veteran and a retired welder with 30 plus years at Texaco.
Visitation is 8:00am until the funeral on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma followed by the burial at St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
