Winfred “Winn and Red” Brown Morgan Jr., 74, a native of Alexander, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine “Jerrie” Landry Morgan of Houma; two sons, Mark Brian Morgan and wife, Bernadine LeBlanc Morgan, of Gibson, LA., and Michael Sean Morgan and wife, Pauline Aucoin Morgan, of New Orleans, LA.; one daughter, Merrille Catherine Morgan Carrere and husband, Jimmy Carrere, of New Orleans; one sister, Virginia Morgan Underwood and husband, Dan Underwood, of McDonough, GA.; six grandchildren, Anna Carrere, Courtney Carrere, Jimmy “Bob” Carrere, Heather Morgan, Caitlin Morgan and Sean Michael Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Maddie Vetra and Trevor Tackaberry; and his pet Chihuahuas Minnie and Buttons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Brown Morgan Sr. and Merrille Jane Weeks Morgan; and one daughter, Anna Kateri Morgan.

He was a retired production foreman with Shell Oil Co. with more than 30 years and a U.S. veteran of the Korean War.

He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
