October 13, 2010Winnie Matherne Authement, 84, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Norris Authement; daughter, Jackie (Darrell) Billingsley; sisters, Ollie Rogers, Ruth Matherne and Enola Martin; two grandchildren, Stacey (Rick) Doolin and Yvette (Jeff Jr.) Fugate; and five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jesse, Gabrielle, Noah and Benjamin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovincy and Elvire Arceneaux Matherne; four brothers, Louis, Earl Sr., Percy and Wiltz Matherne; and two sisters, Pearl and Mae Dufrene.
She is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
