Andy Aker, a native of Texas and a resident of Gibson, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the age of 63.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Trosclair; son, Andrew Aker Jr. and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Audree Thomas, Rylan Thomas, and Avery Aker; 3 stepchildren; 8 step grandchildren; step great grandchildren, Gabriel Overgar, Paisley Gregoire and John Oliver Gregoire; siblings, Wilma Jean Villa and Everett Aker Jr., along with many special nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Maggie Jean Aker; sister, Thelma Lee Aker.
Andy will be remembered as a good & hardworking man that never met a stranger. He truly was a jack of all trades & a master of most! When he wasn’t working or spending time with loved ones, you’d be sure to find him with a fishing pole in hand. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home (4511 West Park Avenue) from 2pm until service time. A religious service will begin at 4:00 PM.
A private family service will be held at his final resting place in Bogata, Tx at a later date and time.
