It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Claudette Ann Authement, who left us on
August 20, 2024 at the age of 81. Claudette Ann Authement was born on October 16, 1942
a resident of Chauvin, Louisiana.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, dedicating her life to her family and
treasuring every moment spent with them. Her deep faith in Jesus provided her with guidance
and strength throughout her life. She found joy in sewing and painting, which she often used to
express her creativity. She had a passion for travel and was always excited to explore new
places and enjoy new experiences.
Claudette Ann Authement is survived by her husband, Raymond Authement; her daughter, Gayla
Robinson and husband Kerry Robinson; her sons, Kyle Authement and wife Sandy Authement,
and Chris Authement and wife Debbie Authement; her grandchildren, Jamie Authement, Megan
Polk, Dexter Authement, Kali Robinson, Kelsi Lauprecht, Zachary Authement, Holden
Authement, and Kole Robinson; six great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Cunningham and Aline
Truxillo; and brother, Charles Portier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Irene Portier; brothers, Mark, Bernard, and Elward Portier.
Claudette Ann Authement will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to
love, kindness, and faith. Though her presence is gone, her memory will continue to live on in
our hearts. May she rest in peace, and may her legacy inspire and comfort us always.
Her memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9am to 11am, with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.
