Doretha “Cat” Broussard, 78, a native of Houma and resident of Terrebonne Parish, passed away on September 15, 2024.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10am to 12pm, with the service to begin at 12pm, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald C. Broussard; children, Rhonda Lancon (Christian), Donna Broussard, Donald Broussard (Nicole); grandchildren, Alexa Lancon (Griffyn), Christy Anne Lancon, Taylor Lancon, Kameron Broussard (Kennedy), Kendric Fitch, Kyrin Fitch, Desyre Lewis, Riley Broussard, Karson Broussard; brother, Paul Verret (Berline); in laws, Mary Jean Verret, Roy Billiot, Shirley M. Tanner (Charles), Sandrea Foster, Andree Parfait, John Broussard (Jeanne); and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph John and Josephine Verret; sisters, Dorothy “Sis” Lee Rousse (Edison), Doris Landry (Raymond), Antoinette V. Billiot (Clarence), Edna Billiot, Rosemary Verret, her baby twin sister, Baby Verret; brothers, Antoine, Albert, Clarence “C.J.” Verret; in laws, Eno J. and Gussie Broussard, Kerry Parfait, and Jim Foster.
She was loved and will be missed by all her family and friends.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
