October 18, 2024Jeanette Hebert Adams, 86, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Houma, LA. Born on January 1, 1938, She was known for her generous heart, fun-loving spirit, and her innate ability to bring humor to every situation. Her quick wit and sociable personality made her a beloved figure with family and friends.
Jeanette dedicated her life to her family, working as a homemaker and house cleaner. Her faith was an important aspect of her life and she was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Community.
She is survived by her son, Mickey Adams (Robin); daughter, Tessie Hebert (Jeremy); grandchildren, Jeremy Falgoust, Mickey Adams, Jr. (Kandy), Nicholas Adams, Gabrielle Blanchard, and Jake Hebert; brother, Edmond Hebert; sister, Leona Hebert Anderson; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Earl “Coco” Adams; daughter, Linda Ann Adams; her parents, Ada Billiot Hebert and Ferdinand Hebert; and siblings, Eunice Bonvillain, Eula Rhodes, Evans “Vin” Hebert, Jimmy Hebert, Roy Hebert, James Hebert, and Borge Hebert.
Jeanette enjoyed walking outside, watching and feeding birds, fishing, watching soap operas, and eating seafood. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will begin at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue on Monday, October 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 22, beginning at 9:00 am with a Mass of Catholic Burial at 11:00 am, followed by the burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Jeanette’s life was marked by her resilience, unwavering kindness, and her joyful approach to life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
