Jerry Anthony Bergeron, 57, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
He is survived by his sons, Zackary Bergeron, Jesse Bergeron (Samantha), and Andre Bergeron; step daughters, Claire Sanchez (Jesse) and Skylar Fitch; grandchildren, Christian and Oliver Sanchez, Nylah and Eden Bergeron, Mila and Mazie Dean; mother, Mary Ellen Aston Bergeron; brothers, J. Earl Bergeron and Terry Bergeron; and uncle, Peter Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan J. Bergeron, Jr.; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Jerry grew up in Houma loving the outdoors. His love of fishing and hunting flourished and became a shared and cherished love with him and his boys. Jerry was active in all his boys’ activities. He loved coaching all his boys’ sport teams. As a lifetime law enforcement agent, Jerry served his community with both a sense of humility and integrity. When Jerry’s family began to grow, he welcomed his grandchildren with open arms and a softened heart. His children and grandchildren were his everything. His retirement plan was to relocate and become fulltime PaPa. Now he is their guardian angel. Jerry will forever be loved and always be missed.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 4:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.
